Darmanin calls the CCIF an “enemy of the republic”. Hamas-affiliated CAIR says it is making a false accusation.
Whom shall we believe? CAIR is an unindicted co-conspirator in what the Justice Department calls a Hamas terrorist financing case. CAIR officials have repeatedly refused to denounce Hamas and Hezbollah as terrorist groups. Several former CAIR officials have been convicted of various crimes related to jihad terrorism. CAIR co-founder and longtime chairman of the board, Omar Ahmad, as well as its main spokesman, Ibrahim “Honest Ibe” Hooper, have made Islamic supremacist statements about how Islamic law should be imposed in the US (Ahmad denies this, but the original reporter stands by your history.)
Worse, CAIR chapters often hand out leaflets urging Muslims not to cooperate with law enforcement. CAIR has opposed virtually every proposed or implemented anti-terrorist measure and has been declared a terrorist organization by the United Arab Emirates. CAIR’s Hussam Ayloush called for the overthrow of the US government in 2017. CAIR’s national outreach manager is an open supporter of Hamas.
Whom shall we believe?
“CAIR is offering DC office space for French Muslim civil rights group that has been closed for anti-Islamic practices”, CAIR, December 4, 2020
WASHINGTON, Dec. 4, 2020 / PRNewswire / – The American-Islamic Relations Council (CAIR), the largest Muslim civil rights group in the country, announced today that it has offered office space at its Capitol Hill headquarters in Washington, DC Has. to a French Muslim anti-racism organization recently shut down by that nation’s government to crack down on the Muslim community and their legal rights.
CAIR said it had offered office space and logistical resources to the Collective Against Islamophobia in France (CCIF), which French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin had falsely accused of spreading “Islamist propaganda”. In fact, the main role of the CCIF was to monitor the growing Islamophobia in France.
