Skills for Security – a UK provider of electronic fire and security training – named Matthew Aindow Trainee of the Year after scoring 93% in its endpoint rating (EPA).

Skills for Security has celebrated almost 30 apprentices over the past year who have completed their training in fire, emergency and security systems. Company 2020 Apprentice Matthew completed his apprenticeship with EFT Systems, one of the UK’s leading fire and safety installers. EFT is recruiting 28 apprentices across the company, most of whom are part of the fire and security training program at Skills for Security.

David Scott, Managing Director of Skills for Security, commented, “Matthew showed a tremendous work ethic during his apprenticeship this year. His energy and enthusiasm should take him far in the fire and security industry.

“Matthew has a real passion for the sector and his career and I look forward to following his journey closely as he now becomes a fully qualified fire and safety engineer. The Skills for Security team would like to wish you all the best in your career.

“We also congratulate our 27 trainees who are part of the 2020 class and who have also completed their training this year. This is by far the largest number in the UK and a significant increase in apprenticeships is projected in 2021. We hope that this will bring us closer to the growing skill gap in our industry. “
