Alex Lacey was set for a busy year before Covid 2020 hit.

Ms. Lacey, a successful self-employed Blue Badge Tourist Guide, made just over £ 50,000 a year before the pandemic.

Although the trade in their industry has been wiped out, the 50,000 cap on self-employed support means Alex receives no support at all.

Like three million others, Alex is currently slipping through the web of state financial support for Covid-19.

Tracy Brabin, the MP for Batley and Spen, launched her appeal on Wednesday afternoon in a ten-minute rule motion to fill gaps in financial support.

What is it really like to be excluded from financial aid?
