Sutton: PFA chairman has “blood on his hands”

Former Premier League footballer Chris Sutton claimed today that outgoing PFA chairman Gordon Taylor had “blood on his hands” for failing to take action against dementia.

As part of an investigation by the parliamentary committee on digital, culture, media and sport, he gave indications of the connections between head injuries in sport and dementia.

Former TeamGB hockey player Monica Petrosino also emotionally reported being asked by doctors who tested her for multiple sclerosis whether she had ever been hit on the head and told them that she was affected throughout her career.
