Entrust announced its Instant ID as a Service (IIDaaS) solution. This cloud-based software provides an easy, secure, adaptable, and efficient way to issue physical and digital IDs using a single, easy-to-use platform.
As organizations become more decentralized, opening the door to new requirements for secure management and remote issuance of credentials, there is increasing pressure to maintain a secure flow of data – including the data stored on physical and digital credentials. Designed for the dynamic world of today and tomorrow, IIDaaS helps businesses securely issue the secure credentials of citizens, students and employees around the world. IIDaaS software is designed to work with Entrust’s broad portfolio of desktop printers – from high-speed systems to low-cost, low-volume models – leveraging the simple, secure, and sophisticated Entrust cloud services to print physical or digital IDs such as for university students or mobile flash passes for employees at distributed locations on one or more devices.
“We are proud to add Instant ID as a service cloud software to Entrust’s exceptional portfolio of dispensing systems, software and accessories,” said Tony Ball, senior vice president and general manager of Instant Issuance, Entrust. “Our modern, cloud-based software for identity issuance is in line with our strategy of providing simplified, efficient and adaptable digital workflows via the cloud that are tailored to the specific needs of our customers without compromising security and data protection.”
The main advantages of the Instant ID as a Service software solution include:
Physically and digitally: The software can simultaneously issue a physical ID (card) and a digital ID (mobile flash pass).
Service availability: With a proven track record of 99.9% uptime, organizations can rely on service availability for all emissions requirements.
Robust service support infrastructure: Entrust provides partners with technical support and intuitive, easy-to-use online training documents and videos to help reduce the barriers to adoption
Scalability: The IIDaaS solution integrated in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud is scalable to meet the requirements of any company.
Configurable for changing business needs: Extensive features and database support evolve with changing security policies.
Data protection and security: The solution is securely positioned in the AWS cloud and Entrust uses end-to-end encryption for all data in motion and at rest.
Third-party security checks: Extensive and thorough security reviews, including penetration and security tests, are offered by third-party companies every year.
“Instant ID as a Service enables organizations from universities to corporations to access the latest features without addressing the challenges often posed by technical complexities,” said Jagdish Rebello PhD, senior manager, Instant ID Issuance software solutions for Entrust.
